DUAL INCOME, NO KIDS (D.I.N.K.s)

A new group has emerged in S'pore. They are the DINKs - dual career couples who are childless.

Let me give some insights about the DINKs:

a) More 300 thousand of such couples in S'pore

b) They accounted for surprisingly 44% of all married couples in S'pore.

c) Median age of these husbands is 42 yrs old. And 1/3 of their wives are below 35 yrs old.

d) They are better educated with high proportion of wives have atleast upper Secondary education.

e) 57% of DINKs lived in 5-rooms or private homes.

f) Of course, better & higher purchasing power.
