There is never a doubt in my mind of the legality of the capturing of the British sailors. I'm sure they have strayed into the Iranian waters & thus caught. Iran was showing lots of compassion in releasing these sailors and not subjecting them to a trial in Tehran.
But now? This compassionate act is being is being BETRAYED by these very sailors into saying that they were tortured and abused and forced to admit entering Iran.
Hey! Come on!! What they have forgotten is that they were actually military personnel and thus should should be subjected to a "prisoners-of-war" treatment. And to be actually given the hospitality like what Iran did, was something they needed to treasure.
But NO!!! They decided to do an about turn and saying Iran torture them. AND NOW, they even got the cheek to wanting to selling their stories to tabloids with hopes to make millions!!! And some of the tales were simple incredible and insulting to the intelligence
I'm apalled the way the British Government handles this episode. It goes to show that their military personnel have serious discipline deficiency and too greedy.
Sorry to say this, but it seem to me, they are more than willing to sell their country for a few pounds.
