Crazy as it is, I'm still thinking of Jose......well really difficult NOT to miss him. I still recall seeing him running up & down the field of Old Trafford in 2004 when Porto crush Man Utd out of the Champion League at the 90th minute. What a CRAZY MAN? He even DID NOT shake Fergie's hand when the final whistle was blown.

But Fergie, Gary & Phil Neville still made it to visitor's dressing room to offer pleasantries. Came to think of it, only Fergie seemed to have quite a good relationship with Jose. Wenger & Benitez FOR SURE DID NOT.

Actually I tried to cut down on my blogging this fasting month but this latest piece of shocking news made me do otherwise....

Yes, Mourinho is NO LONGER with the Blues. Whether he jumped or was pushed, no one really knows except for Jose himself & his ex-Boss, Roman. But the timing of it all, is a SHOCKER!!!

The world wide world knows of his roller-coasting relationship with his Boss...but until he really left than we know exactly how BAD the whole situation is.

Having said that I will miss Jose. For his outrageous comments, sour-grapes attitudes, Super Cockiness......and can NEVER BORED anyone.

Without him, Chelsea will be just like Van Halen without David Lee Roth.

Though this blog is NOT a Movie Critic Blog but I'm pleased to note that those who had emailed mentioned that they would check-out this blog to see whether I mentioned any movie in particular & then decide whether to catch that movie.

This afternoon, I watch this new Catherine Zeta Jones movie called, "No Reservations". For those who are into love/family type of movie (like me), this is a movie to catch....especially with Catherine so easy on the eyes. I'm so jealous of Mike Douglas (eventhough he's a Jew? not that really...)

This movie gives us an insight about the life of a restaurant chef and her overly-engrossed in making her cooking so meticulously an art form... thus becoming a Control-Freak...would not let anyone take control of the Kitchen.

Anyway, do catch it. The soundtrack is really good giving you some great the late Pavarotti at his best and make me realized what this world will be missing....

OOps another thing... What really caught my eyes about Catherine is not really her beauty but her posture which is REALLY ELEGANT & Mesmerizing.

For those ladies out there, please get your posture right & with that you can really show the world who you really are.

Iraq increasing oil output?

Iraq, eventhough being war-torn & having super-high daily casualties, wants to increase its oil production to 3 million bpd (barrels-per-day). Its current production now stands @ 2.5 million bpd.

In about 10-years, the production can be upped to 6 million bpd. Iraqi Oil Minister Hussein Shahristani also mentioned that there are @50 discovered fields still awaiting developments. Wow!!!

So, NEVER let those photos of ravaged cities, people dying and burnt buildings fooled you about Iraq.

It is a RICH oil-producing country with TREMENDOUS WEALTH & POTENTIAL.

Thus no wonder lah, even the uninvited guests want to continue staying there...........to continue reaping the wealth of the country.

fake Beard of a Sheikh?

Osama has just released a new video...........and the Western Spin-Doctors quickly made us focus on mundane things like whether he dyed his beard, whether the beard is fake or real...etc

They really think that we are stupid & trying to divert our attention to what the man was actually saying....oh, please..

Hey! We are interested in the message Osama was saying. Yes, apart of the "yankee-doodle" of wanting the whole American people to convert to Islam, he did mentioned the woes of the current world situation.

Here's my take:

a) The whole world must on vigilant in view of the coming 6th Anniversary of Sep 11. Security must be tightened. My paranoia sense likens Osama black beard with an Islamic Prophetic tradition, if I'm not mistaken, the Messenger of God (pbuh) during inspecting his soldiers before going to war, asked the elderly followers to dye their hair and beard to make them looked youthful in the eyes of the enemies. So there must be a signal there as to why that black beard.

b) Osama mentioned the obvious that the Iraq war has failed and now the guilty parties are paying for the mistake. Yes, quite true, right?

c) Osama said, "This is why I tell you: as you liberated yourselves before from the slavery of monks, kings and feudalism, you should liberate yourselves from the deception, shackles and attrition of the capitalist system,"

Quite correct because there are so many lies, deceptions in this modern world that we are almost confused to which one to believe. Capitalism is a problem because 80% of wealth is being owned by only 20% of the population. sad right?

What we can do is to pray to the Al-Mighty for protection for ourselves, families, friends and our beloved country against any terror acts. Having said that, we can help ourselved by being vigilant and stay alert on any suspicious acts. Report them!

a) Our beloved Spidey - Mr Tobey Maguire has married his long-time girlfriend in Hawaii.

b) Our babe of the century - Halle Berry is 3-months pregnant - expecting her 1st child.

c) Our Hunk of the decade - the irresistible George Clooney was honoured with the "Chevalier des Art et Lettres" (if my French is correct means Knight of Arts and the Letters) by the French government for his outstanding achievements in cinema.

Sad to note:
a) The loss of the World's greatest tenor - Pavarotti though cancer.

b) Maria Sharapova got kicked out of the US open - thus making me hating tennis altogether.

c) That sick man, Mahathir, bashed Singapore again & being venomous....may be he thinks that he'll live forever. Real Sad, man...

Fatty Bom-Bom - a Thing of the Past?

No more that "before" & "after" adverts in the papers, no more slimming teas, no more liposuction nor lap-banding, no more slapstick jokes............... and no more Moses Lim.

Why?

Because...........FINALLY, the US scientists have discovered that by mutating a gene in the body of a FAT person, he will be slim for life. Funnily, the scientists called this unknown gene as the "skinny" genes.

Until we know more, I just hope that this not just a

FAT HOPE.

The multi-billion slimming industry will never allow this to happen.

No place in the University

S'pore is indeed becoming a Great Education Hub for the region, and hopefully for the World. We want our educational centers, especially, our universities to have the same standing as Oxford, Cambridge in the next future.

Having said that, we also want our youths who are qualified, to be given a place in the local universities. We do not want with the influx of super-smart foreign students, our local kids are squeezed out of the Universities, God forbids.

It is a GREAT shame if our students had to look overseas to get their education when they are not given the chance at home.

Tears in Basra

Less than 5 years ago, Basra was a cosmopolitan city buzzing with daily activities of Iraqis doing their daily shopping, meeting friends, trading amongst traders. The normal scene just like say, Orchard Road.

Believe it or not, that was during Saddam's rule....and surprisingly the people then were FREE & HAPPY.

NOW?

After the US & Goons invaded Iraq, Basra's fine condition deteriorated badly & war-torn.

NOW?

The Brits decide to leave Basra.

Why?

Because British election is coming (maybe next month) & the new Prime Minister, Gordon Brown acting on a populist move in order to secure MORE VOTES.

Why?

Because the British public has never really supported their Govt's involvement in Iraq especially when the death tolls keeping ringing with more deaths of the British soldiers. Thus leaving Basra makes Gordon more popular & currently his rating is SKY-HIGH.

So any thoughts of what will become of this City & Iraq as a whole?

Do they really cared?

Basra is now being in such a DANGEROUS situation where civil strife amongst the 3 factions is taking place.

How it's like to be a Mr Magoo

I caused too much stress on my eyes yesterday.

Why?

Went to the movies to watch Bourne Ultimatum. A show that REALLY did not disappoint. Great!!! No sex, no weird innuendos, no naked ladies....BUT PURE ADRELIN-RUSH of excitement & more.....

After that, I had a bite at McDonalds.

Then, continue watching Ratatouille. To me, it is just an OK show. Definitely cannot beat "The Incredibles" which I salute for the original plots & creative story line. Especially, remember, that zany Edna Mode. Wow!! Really creative of Pixar to invent a character like her!!!

After that, I quickly rush home to watch Liverpool & Derby games - back2back with Spurs & Fullham....while waiting for the midnite game of MAN UTD & SUNDERLAND game.

While watching, the Liverpool game...........my head started to spin & I felt really drowsy. So make myself a strong Nescafe & quickly drank the whole cup.

The next minute, I was off....

....to Dreamland...

missing my beloved team beat the Black Cats.

That Crazy SMS I received today...

Hey did u receive a Crazy SMS today that said there will be a clash in JB between Indians & Malay on 29 & 30 Aug. As such don't come to JB during these 2 days. It also mentioned this clash was a result of a vendetta by Malays because a Malay lady was brutally raped by a group of Indians.

You believe that?

Alamak!! I believe all of us are smart people & won't fall for this kind of deception. Anyway, S'poreans, by large, have already gave JB a miss.

Why?

Because of the SUPER HIGH CRIME RATES.

Sorry to say this but if I'm a JB police man, I'll be ashamed to even put on my uniform. BECAUSE I'm NOT doing the job the public expects of me.

This REMPIT phenomenon gotta STOP!!!

This current craze of Mat Rempit is hitting the roofs in Msia & igniting the anger & dismay of other road users. These Mat Rempits with the "hack care" attitude to the safety of themselves & others have caused plenty of serious road accidents...some were fatal.

This super cheap-thrill is really catching on & the M'sia authorities are scratching their heads on how to stop this phenomenon. With Youtube, this craze is catching on & now instead of Mat Rempits, you have Minah Rempits who show the same "hack care" attitude to their own modesty.

What saddens me the most is that this is actually a 100% Malay problems. You don't see youths of other races being soooo stupid to be involved in this type of Cheap thrill.

I think I have a SOLUTION for the Msian Authorities.

Why not introduce CANNING as a form of punishment for this sort of behavior. Why not? They don't care about SAFETY & WELLBEING of the others. So why must we care about them?

Once caning is introduced & with some got the feel of stick on the naked buttocks. So when the pain hits them, they will wish that they were never born into this planet and Rempit will soon be the thing of the past.

Owen Wilson's attempted Suicide?

There are many under-rated actors in Hollywood which may never able to set them into A-List fold in the likes of Tom Cruise, Tom Hanks, Robert DeNiro..etc

One of these under-rated actors is Owen Wilson whom I always love & enjoy watching. Though most of his films are comical & light stuff, they are very enjoyable to watch, especially when he partnered Ben Stiller.

If u never watch a classic Owen & Ben movie, do check out "Zoolander". That movie was banned in Malaysia due to some reference to the assination of a Malaysian PM.

Anyway, sad to hear that yesterday Owen attempted suicide by slitting his left wrist and taking an unidentified number of pills.

Before the EPL season begins, my confidence is rocket high on my beloved Man Utd, a team I supported when I was just 6-7 yrs old watching a new player Man Utd just bought that time called "Cantona".

Organ Transplant & the act of Compassion

Sorry to say this but I really wonder why Muslims here had to take a l-o-n-g time in finally decided to be included in HOTA.

Why?

Is it because:

1) They fear that God will reprimand them when they "return" back to Him without a kidney or say, cornea? or....

2) Is it really not them to decide on these "gifts" from God except for God Himself....so we CANNOT give something that don't actually belong to us? or....

3) They fear their organs will be given to Non-Muslims thus may have higher chances of "contaminating" them? or....

4) They fear that it will delay their burial due to the removing process of the organs that can take much time and also make their bodies having ugly surgical scars? or.....

5) They just don't bother to sign-up & using the 4 reasons above as their excuses?

Actually, I consider myself under category 5 but I don't make excuses for my laziness. Still I believe strongly (alamak but not actionlah) inclusion of HOTA is the way to go.

Yes, many accused Muslim Leaders having a Soft Backbone but in this case, I really think the Fatwa ruling is really spot-on.

Not try to preach since my knowledge of the religion is not even worth the speck of dust beneath the feet of the ulamas but Islam is a Religion of Compassion....we can't even step on ants on purpose.

When the buses are never full during peak hours? NEVER!

I mentioned that not only Bus Captains ( I rather call them Bus Drivers) are fearful about attacks, we the passengers and road users feel even more!!! There many many times where we, passengers, almost fell off our faces when to the bus drivers have that kinky habits of applying sudden brakes all the time, jerking the bus on every bus-stop. May be they get an emotional high when doing that....

A friend told me that everytime he reached office in the morning, he would feel tired.

Why?

This friend is putting up Buangkok Green, needs to take bus no. 88 to take him Ang Mo Kio MRT Station. That total about 10 bus stops journey which should be only takes 15 minutes can be stretched to 45 mins!!!

Why???

Because the 88 buses are always full. The next one comes along is also full. Not surprising when profits are all that matters to our dear SBS.

My condolences and prayers to the family of Gabriel Goh, the 16-year old who died yesterday after being hit by an SBS Transit bus at Hougang Central.

An Inspiration - when u want something badly!!!

Never in the "American Idol" history that an idol hopeful went into labour while waiting to be auditioned!!!

REALLY Lost in the Translations

Someone passed a pirated DVD of the latest Thai horror flick called, "ALONE" & I almost regretted watching it. Apart from the guilt of "conspiracing" with the pirates, those images were really laughable.

While haven't got the chance to watch Pirated Movies for a L-O-N-G time, I was thinking that the quality of piracy has improved, but NO....it got worst.

Can you imagine in this new age, people still secretly taping the movies in cinemas!!! Then mass-copy & sell???

Anyway, this Thai Horror movie turned out to be a JOKE!!! Due to the pirate's translations, this horror movie became a sick comedy. Come to think of it, I quite enjoy it!

Here's the Mis-Translation examples:

1) This scene at the hospital where the main character's mum lay on the bed. The doctor, holding the syringe & said, "I think I need to give her some shots".

The Malay Translation: "Saya fikir saya mesti beri dia beberapa tembakan".

2) In a scene, where the main character accidentally reversed her car & hit her dog named "Lucky". Immediately, she got out of the car & towards the dog shouting, "Lucky! Lucky".

The Malay Translation: "Nasib Baik! Nasib Baik!

Anyway, who am I to complain?

James Bond or Jason Bourne?

I pick Bourne movies any & every time.

Why???

James Bond movies are too plastic for me. Action thrills & not much else.

For Bourne films, they are much, much different.

They are more into human elements amidst those addrelin-rush actions & stuff.

I saw the previous 2 installments - Bourne Identity & Bourne Supremacy - and really had a GREEEEEEEAT TIME!!!

The plot of the story is simple. An ex-CIA agent has an amnesia upon completion of a failed operation. So, it is his journey to really find who he really was.

Can't wait till the latest series - Bourne Ultimatum to hit the cinemas. I will among the first to watch.

We are Muslims. If you want to sell food to us & want our money, all you need is to get the HALAL cert from MUIS.

It is that EASY.

So easy that you only have to ensure all the food & ingredients are from Halal sources & apply for the the Halal cert from MUIS. Once MUIS inspects your kitchen & everything is in order. You will get your certs in no time.

There are hundreds of Eating outlets which are Halal-Certified. So it is not Impossible to that Halal Cert.

Unless you have items in your kitchen that is No Halal & thinking by employing some silly Makciks sitting at the counter will get you Muslim customers, you are DEAD WRONG. Only guillable Muslims will patronise your stall.

When I said ok, he emailed a song called, "Merindu Kepastian". Never heard it, so as usual, turn it up loud. Simple plucking technique....but Art has VERY VERY GOOD Feel & Emo.....& the lyrics were out-of-this world, especially the part that said:

For those of you who had ever contemplated suicide, SHAME on You!!! Just look at Amri Mohd Samat.

At 21 yrs old, he became paralysed waist down due to bike accident. Now at 41, due to pressure sores infection, he was amputated from waist down. Which means NOT only his two legs, but his pelvis too. My God!!!

He said, "The doctor told me I had two choices - to cut off the bad part of my body or suffer and die. I picked the operation because it gave me a 50-50 chance to live."

With high suicide rates in S'pore, I think the Govt suddenly has a PRO LIFE ICON in their hands, MR AMRI MOHD SAMAT.

He will Sure be an Inspiration to All. Making us realise no matter what setbacks we faced, we must have the Joy of Living.

2200 Malay Babies born WITHOUT Fathers since 1997

We, the Malays, are faced with this phenomenon of having teen & out-of-wedlock pregnancies at a critical level. The latest national stats show that Malays formed the largest group in this category compared to Chinese, Indians & Others which shows declining trends.

OK, with this stats, are we saying that only Malay teens are engaged sex & other races are angels?

Well, I don't think so but I do believe our teens are the MOST STUPID!

Sorry lah, it is because we are so BO CHAP? Our race has been so synonymously identified with the TAK APA attitude.

We all know that pre-marital sex is Haram. Our teens (not all) show that they bloody disregard that. OK putting that Islamic requirement aside, our teens (not all) prefer to just DO IT without any care in the world. They can like, I'm sure the teens from other races, using contraceptives or whatever. But choose, to BO CHAP.

Would rather have 10 minutes of fun than many many years of PAIN & SUFFERING.

I don't think they are GULLIBLE not to know that they may get PREGNANT.

And their handsome & cute boyfriends will just walk away looking for another "outlets" for their lust. And this vicious cycle goes on & on & on....

The apparent characteristic of Malay boys (not all)is the MUCH lacking responsibilities for their actions.

They even post their sex videos on the NET without a care in guarding their girlfriends' modesty.

Really no shame!!!

2 Different Life Stories - in Newspaper Today

If u read both Straits Times & Berita Minggu today, you will notice a large economic gap existing amongst the S'pore Malays today.

In Berita Minggu, it features a Malay doctor, Abdul Razakjr who talks about his financial planning and stated that he will only spend $200 per day on daily personal expenses.

In Straits Times article, it talks about Blk 90 Pipit Rd stories of dysfunctional families with various economic & social problems. It featurs a lady, if I'm not mistaken, Noorhayati, who ex-husbands are drug addicts. Later she gets married to a Nepalese who turns out to be an illegal immigrants & has been deported. This is after making her pregnant with a daughter. Her family monthly income $260 - shared with a small daughter, a young nephew & an elderly uncle.

So for Dr Razakjr, he has about $6K of personal monthly expenses & Noorhayati has a whole family expenses of $260 per month.

While Dr Razakjr & family enjoy a game of golf every weekend, Mdm Noorhayati & family may not know where the next meal comes from.

So is Life fair?

Are we REALLY vulnerable to Radical Ideology?

I think we need to find the answer to the above question real soon with the recent developments to the world today.

In UK, the British police has identified few doctors as the people behind the failed terror attempt in Glaslow. In S'pore, a Lawyer was arrested for being a DIY terror suspect.

So does that make all Muslims in S'pore vulnerable to Radical Ideology? Wah, difficult to answer lah...especially me, a Muslim...

Being upfront, as always, my answer is YES.

Put it this way, are our emotions stirred whenever we read about another many many Israeli rockets fired at Gaza?

Did we feel angry when we saw those photos of Abu Ghraib torture & prisoner abuses?

After reading & seeing all that, we would really be fired up to jump into actions. And if at that precise time, someone whispers to us & say, "Come on...let's do something about it".... Definitely WOULD!

So how can we SAVE ourselves from reacting blindly to anger?

The answer is ANGER MANAGEMENT based on the Islamic way.

The Noble Qur'an - Fussilat 41:34
"The good deed and the evil deed cannot be equal. Repel (the evil) with one which is better (i.e. Allâh ordered the faithful believers to be patient at the time of anger, and to excuse those who treat them badly), then verily! he, between whom and you there was enmity, (will become) as though he was a close friend."

The Noble Qur'an - Al-'Imran 3:134
"Those who spend [in Allâh's Cause - deeds of charity, alms, etc.] in prosperity and in adversity, who repress anger, and who pardon men; verily, Allâh loves Al-Muhsinûn (the good­doers). "

Hadith

Sahih Al-Bukhari 8.135, Narrated Abu Huraira, r.a.
Allah's Apostle said, "The strong is not the one who overcomes the people by his strength, but the strong is the one who controls himself while in anger."

Sahih Al-Bukhari 8.137, Narrated Abu Huraira, r.a.
A man said to the Prophet , "Advise me!" The Prophet said, "Do not become angry and furious." The man asked (the same) again and again, and the Prophet said in each case, "Do not become angry and furious."

Two men abused each other in front of the Prophet while we were sitting with him. One of the two abused his companion furiously and his face became red. The Prophet said, "I know a word (sentence) the saying of which will cause him to relax if this man says it. Only if he said, 'I seek refuge with Allah from Satan, the outcast.' " So they said to that (furious) man, "Don't you hear what the Prophet is saying?" He said, "I am not mad."

Sunan of Abu Dawood, Narrated Atiyyah as-Sa'di, r.a.
AbuWa'il al-Qass said: We entered upon Urwah ibn Muhammad ibn as-Sa'di. A man spoke to him and made him angry. So he stood and performed ablution; he then returned and performed ablution, and said: My father told me on the authority of my grandfather Atiyyah who reported the Apostle of Allah (peace be upon him) as saying: Anger comes from the devil, the devil was created of fire, and fire is extinguished only with water; so when one of you becomes angry, he should perform ablution.

Sunan of Abu Dawood, Narrated Abu Dharr, r.a.
The Apostle of Allah (peace be upon him) said to us: When one of you becomes angry while standing, he should sit down. If the anger leaves him, well and good; otherwise he should lie down.

Alamak, Again? Please show some standard lah.... I hope M'sia IGP, Tan Sri Musa is not a "Tolak" King & just blaming S'pore for JB rising crime rate.

Now he says that the crime in JB is due to the existence of S'pore Gangs & Syndicates...etc

OK lah, give him the benefit of doubt.

So he has identified the culprits. So what? Job FINISHED?
